Sand Hill Wins Two American Advertising Awards for Elements of Advertising and Website Redesign

Sand Hill Global Advisors, LLC, (“Sand Hill”) a provider of wealth management services in Silicon Valley, announced today that it was awarded two 2018 American Advertising Awards, also known as ADDYs, for its newly redesigned website. Sand Hill received a Gold Award for Elements of Advertising and a Silver Award for Online & Interactive in the Website Redesign category.

Sand Hill is a champion of Silicon Valley’s entrepreneurs, executives, trusted professionals and their families. The firm helps its clients simplify and navigate life’s complexities by providing financial planning solutions and independent investment management strategies. Sand Hill partnered with Silicon Valley-based digital agency WebEnertia to update their brand and website to deliver a simple, customer-centric, engaging digital experience. The redesign also included an animated infographic, which was awarded the Gold ADDY.

WebEnertia and Sand Hill started by overhauling the company’s brand message as well as its look and feel. Sand Hill’s service offerings can appear complex, but they are focused on making life simpler for their clients. The firm needed their brand and website to convey the high-level, technical and robust services they provide for very high net worth clients alongside their fun culture and personality. WebEnertia designed a whole new look for Sand Hill including an updated logo and a fresh color palette. The site is designed with several Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) animations and a full interactive section in the Client Experience page, also featuring animation. Each page is designed to be easy to navigate and digest, with a modern look and feel. To help visitors discover and understand how Sand Hill can help them make the most of their wealth, WebEnertia designed an animated infographic that explains what they do in an innovative, engaging way, while maintaining the new digital brand identity.

WebEnertia’s simple navigation, user-friendly information architecture, and modern, dynamic feel was just what Sand Hill needed to bring their image in line with their culture. Originally founded in 1982 in the heart of Silicon Valley, Sand Hill was also proud to work with a local agency on this project. An employee-owned boutique firm, Sand Hill believes in promoting and supporting other local businesses and was happy to have found a partner in WebEnertia.

“We are incredibly proud of the new website and were thrilled to hear it won these accolades,” says Kristin Sun, Sand Hill Senior Wealth Manager. “The ADDY awards speak to all the time, hard work and creativity Sand Hill and WebEnertia’s amazing team put into this new site.”

As soon as it launched, the traffic to the site increased with visitors spending more time viewing it. Several months on they’ve also seen a measured increase in prospective clients contacting the firm after finding them on the web and exploring the site. Sand Hill is excited to continue to evolve their brand and expand their presence in the heart of Silicon Valley, helping foundations, endowments, and high net worth families enjoy the wealth they’ve worked so hard to build.

About the American Advertising Awards
The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local American Advertising Federation (AAF) Ad Club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

Conducted annually by the AAF, the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards—recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. Entry in your local Ad Club competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY.

Entering the American Advertising Awards supports the entire advertising industry, because the AAF and its local and district affiliates use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.

Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a Silver ADDY. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category.

ADDY nominees pay a fee of $150 to be included in the nomination process. This fee was paid to the American Advertising Federation by WebEnertia. Sand Hill paid no fee for consideration in this process. Sand Hill and WebEnertia are separate and unaffiliated companies. The ADDY award is not indicative of Sand Hill’s future performance. The inclusion of a firm for an ADDY award should not be construed as an endorsement or testimonial of the firm by the American Advertising Federation. Please keep in mind that working with an ADDY award winner is no guarantee as to future investment success, nor is there any guarantee that Sand Hill will be awarded this accomplishment in the future.
