When Meghan DeGroot Daters started studying business in college, she decided to focus on finance so she could help her parents, who were novice investors. She found her calling in numbers, and it’s this same spirit of helping others that drive her work today.

Meghan brings over a decade of experience in high-value investment management to her work at Sand Hill, including her previous work in early-stage investment and pre-IPO transactions, strategic asset allocation, and tax and estate planning. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Meghan is charged with designing and implementing asset allocation strategies and specializes in managing fixed income allocations. She works closely with our wealth managers and facilitates optimal trades to help our clients reach their personal and financial goals. She loves the dynamic nature of the investment and keeping up with the fast-moving market where there is always something new to learn.

When she’s not busy with work you can find Meghan exploring all the Bay Area has to offer— from discovering new restaurants to sipping pinot in wine country. She loves to travel, cook, hike, and do yoga, and is an active member of the Endowment Committee for ARCS Foundation, a non-profit run entirely by women that promotes scientific advancement by providing student scholarships. It’s just another way Meghan uses her expertise to help others pursue their passions.
