As a child, Nick looked up to his father and wanted to follow in his footsteps by working in finance. After pursuing a combined finance/sociology degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, he began working in the operations side of the industry, first as an investment operations specialist and a then client services analyst, before joining Sand Hill.

Nick has always been interested in systems and processes, which gives him the perfect mindset for this work. He likes being responsible for the day-to-day operations of our firm, from reconciling the previous day’s transactions to overseeing trading processes and restrictions. At the same time, he finds the personal side of wealth management much more rewarding than working with numbers alone, making his role as operations associate here at Sand Hill a perfect fit. He likes our tightknit company culture and the collaboration that comes with working towards a shared goal. Nick’s personable nature and attention to detail make him an asset to us all.

When he’s not busy at work, Nick is an avid golfer, lacrosse player, surfer, and Manchester United fan, watching every match with his Scottish father, a lifelong supporter of the club. Nick also loves food and cooking—the more complicated the dish, the better. And he’s been an active volunteer at Samaritan House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to leading the fight against poverty in his native San Mateo, ever since he was a teenager, when his mom started bringing him by after school to help serve food.
